  7. It's no wonder they used the other, better versions. The Jan and Dean tracks are better, but still probably not those you heard on the radio. And one isn't even close to being a 'surf' tune. The tracks from The Deltas (actually Jim Waller and the Delta's, I believe) are not too bad. But they're a bit off the path for surf /5(3).
